"I'd Really Love to See You Tonight" is a vocal written by Parker McGee and was a hit by England Dan & John Ford Coley from their 1976 album Nights Are Forever. Information technology somewhen peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for ii weeks, behind Wild Ruby-red'due south "Play That Funky Music" and No. 1 on the Easy Listening nautical chart.[one] Billboard ranked it as the No. 21 song for 1976.[2] It reached No. 26 in the official Britain chart.
Dan Seals, the "England Dan" half of the duo, re-recorded the song in 1995 in an acoustic country music manner.

- The band performed the vocal on the 1977 NBC teen drama series James at 15 in the episode "The Blowout" during the schoolhouse trip the light fantastic scene.
- In the 1996 action thriller moving-picture show The Long Osculation Goodnight starring Geena Davis and Samuel L. Jackson, Jackson's character hears the vocal on the car radio while driving and starts to sing the chorus as "I'k not talking 'bout the linens...", instead of "I'yard not talking 'tour moving in", and Davis's character then promptly corrects his mondegreen.
- In the 2013 comedy picture show Anchorman two, the vocal is briefly featured in a scene where Ron Burgundy (played past Will Ferrell) revisits his divorced wife Veronica Corningstone (played by Christina Applegate) and his son Walter just every bit he is approaching the door of their apartment in New York City with a souvenir for Walter.
